Shu Uemura Vs. Japonesque

It’s Japan vs. Japan in this battle of the eyelash curlers.

In corner one, we have the original metal warrior from shu uemura ($16), the go-to eyelash curling tool of champions beloved by top makeup artists and the general public. Engineered to produce that perfectly curved band of lashes, its silicone “mushroom” pad and patented hinge have that legendary Japanese precision.

In the other corner, is the Go Curl Eyelash Curler from Japonesque ($10.50), the newer kid on the block with something to prove. No doubt, this contender is sleek, with its black body that errs more on the side of contemporary aesthetics. Flip down the lever located at the back of the curler and apply pressure — if you need to replace the silicone pad, it’s conveniently store at the apparatus base.

Which one would you choose? Old Faithful or the new kid on the block??
